Bowling Green State University is reporting 28 new cases of COVID-19 for the week ending Tuesday (Nov. 23). That’s down a bit from last week when 32 cases were reported.
Of those cases, 27 are confirmed, and one is yet to be confirmed. Twenty-six cases are students – 18 off-campus and eight on campus. Two cases were staff members.
For the semester there have been 635 COVD cases –591 students, 18 faculty, and 26 staff.
Vaccination rates are also edging up with 70.5 percent of all students reporting being vaccinated, and 65 percent confirmed. Last week that was 69.6 percent of students saying they are vaccinated, and 56.8 percent of those confirmed.
Of BGSU students living in residence halls, 80.2 percent report they are vaccinated, of which 73 percent are confirmed. That was 79.8 percent and 68.7 percent, respectively, last week.
This week 81 percent of faculty and staff report being vaccinated, up from 75.1 percent last week.
