‘Haunted Waterville Tours’ explore paranormal history

From WATERVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Waterville Historical Society has announced that its “Haunted Waterville Tours” will be back again this season. Upcoming tour dates are Saturday, Oct. 4; Thursday, Oct. 16; Saturday, Oct. 25; and Thursday, Oct. 30. The tour times each evening are 5:15 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.

The tours include a presentation by paranormal investigators, followed by a horse-drawn trolley ride through the Waterville historic district. A docent will tell tales of hauntings past and present as guests come to their location on the tour. The tours will begin at the Robbins House and Museum, 114 S. River Road, Waterville.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at watervillehistory.org. Children 12 and under will receive a free t-shirt. Adult t-shirts can be ordered at the time of ticket purchase. Tours have sold out, so it is advised to order early, especially if one is part of a group who wants to ride together.

There is also a related event, on Saturday, Oct. 11. This event will feature Dave Misko, a paranormal investigator, who has offered to lead 10 individuals in a paranormal investigation of the Robbins House and Museum, a historic home that dates back to the 1830s, and has been the site of unexplained happenings. Only ten tickets will be sold at $50 each, and they can be purchased at watervillehistory.org.
