The Lakeside Theatre Company will hold a fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 6, 11:30 a.m. to 6 pm
Maumee lndoor Theatre, 6OI Conant 5t, Maumee, Ohio
The Lakeside Players will provide free live entertainment in the Back Theatre on the first floor; a comic ‘spectacle’ entitled “Nothing Serious. Seriously!”. Showtimes will be: 1, 2:30, and 4 p.m.
There will be Gift Basket Raffles and Silent Auction items in the basement (handicapped accessible). Winners will be announced after the 4 p.m. show. Winners who are not present will be contacted by telephone.
The Lakeside Theatre Company (based in Toledo) is dedicated to fostering a resurgence of comedic and dramatic classics. The troupe’s focus will be to offer audiences the opportunity to experience professional productions by major American playwrights and to celebrate the overwhelming power of theatre to illuminate the human condition.
This year the company will stage:
- “Glorious!: The True Story of Florence Foster Jenkins, The Worst Singer In The World.” Running weekends Sept. 22 to October 2, Maumee Indoor Theatre.
- “Christmas In Connecticut,” Lakeside’s Holiday Radio Play. Running weekendends, Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, Maumee Indoor Theatre.
