The Ohio State Highway Patrol from the Swanton Patrol Post is currently investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Michigan man Thursday night on the Ohio Turnpike
in Wood County.
At 9:32 p.m. a 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup driven by Charles Tenbroeck, 73, of Canton, Michigan was entering the Ohio Turnpike at the Stony Ridge toll gate (exit 71) eastbound. The Toyota pickup struck a concrete barrier head on.
Tenbroeck succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Lake Township EMS, Lake Township Fire
Department and the Ohio Turnpike Maintenance Department.
