From TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART
As part of the ongoing reinstallation of the Toledo Museum of Art’s galleries, a series of galleries will be closing on Dec. 15. This phase of the project will bring improvements to key gallery spaces while allowing the rest of the Museum to remain open to the public.
What will be closed?
Beginning Dec. 15 a number of galleries in the West Wing of the Green Building will close for the duration of the project and will reopen upon completion of the reinstallation in 2027.
- The Great Gallery
- Galleries 22-27 featuring Dutch and French Baroque and Rococo paintings and sculptures
- Galleries 32-33 featuring European art
- Gallery 34 featuring our jewelry collection
All artwork in these galleries, including visitor favorites such as The Architect’s Dream, Blind Man’s Buff, and The Crowning of Saint Catherine, will go off view during construction.

- Better lighting and comfort throughout the building
- New temporary exhibition space that allows us to bring more art to Toledo
- Improvements that ensure the collection is preserved for the next generation of visitors
