20-year-old man charged with carrying concealed weapon

A 20-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning for carrying a concealed weapon, open container in a stationary vehicle, and underage consumption of alcohol.

Jaden May, of Mendon, was observed in his vehicle twice during a Bowling Green police officer’s shift. The officer approached the vehicle where he and a passenger, also underage, were seated.

The officer spotted a can of Miller Lite in the console, which May allegedly tried to hide. He then told the officer there was a case of Miller Lite in the back seat. The officer observed a weapon in the backseat, and had the two occupants leave the vehicle, and he handcuffed May who then told him there was a weapon in the car.

The officer found a Sig Sauer Mosquito .22 long rifle handgun with 10 rounds in the magazine and none in the chamber.

May was arrested and lodged at the Wood County Justice Center.
