Thomas F. Rectenwald, 86, of Perrysburg, OH, died October 1, 2016 at his home. He was born November 28, 1929 in Perrysburg, OH to Henry and Bertha (Wershing) Rectenwald. Tom graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Marines as a Military Policeman and was Sergeant of the Guard.
Tom was a self-employed mechanic specializing in antique cars. He was a member of the VMCCA, Black Swamp Chapter, 5 Point Thrashers and St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg, OH.
Tom is survived by his sons, Thomas Rectenwald Jr. and Phillip (Kathy) Rectenwald, brother, Richard Rectenwald and sisters, Rose (Glenn) Schwind and Micky Huffman and The Spaulding Family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Irene Schiffelbein and special friend, Janet Spaulding.
Visitation will take place Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, OH. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg, OH with visitation beginning at 10a.m. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
