As of this morning, last night’s storm system resulted in:
- 14 reported tornadoes
- 218 reports of hail
- 199 reports of wind damage
While the event did not directly impact the area, we often remind ourselves: even when severe weather is forecasted for a region, it may not affect every locality — but it often impacts some part of the predicted area.
Current Conditions
- Wood County is under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather today.
- The day will be mostly dry, with a chance of passing showers this evening.
- Around 10 PM, a cold front is expected to move through the area, bringing a chance of scattered thunderstorms.
Possible storm impacts include:
- Frequent lightning
- Heavy rainfall
- Small hail
- Wind gusts exceeding 50 mph
The tornado risk for Wood County remains low, with increased risk areas located south of the county.
Regional Outlook
- Areas in southwest Ohio are currently under a Moderate Risk (Level 4 of 5).
