Palestinian support for Shoah overlooked in current debate

WWII was a dark stain on humanity’s soul. What is often overlooked in today’s discourse about the Israel-Palestine conflict is the degree to which Palestinians supported the Shoah (Final Solution). The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, the third highest ranking religious official in Islam, was one of Hitler’s strongest allies that many in America have never heard of. His terror against the Jews in his capacity as a religious leader began on April 4, 1920 where Palestine had its own Kristallnacht a full eighteen years before the same would be repeated in Germany.

The Grand Mufti, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, propagated Arabic translations of the racist Protocols of the Elders of Zion and would eventually fly to Berlin to meet Hitler and give him spiritual and material support. On August 23, 1929, al-Husseini let a massacre of at least sixty Jews in Hebron where Jews had come to take residence in their holy city. Only a few days later, a similar massacre happened in the city of Safad. In 1936, He whipped another crowd into a frenzy that saw yet another massacre of Jews who had come to settle in the land. All of these facts are blissfully ignored by pro Palestine supporters today, especially in America where Jews are openly attacked in the streets by Palestinian activists.

One never sees a Palestine rally where the other side is invited to present their story. It is always one sided, which is why we cannot be surprised at the amount of bloodshed Palestinians have engaged in against their Jewish neighbors. Lest we forget history, we may see another outburst of anti-Semitism.
