On Dec. 2, at approximately 10:19 a.m., troopers from the Bowling Green Post responded to a single vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 75 near mile post 196 in Perrysburg Township, Wood County.
Dennis Amrhein, age 73, of Temperance, Michigan was driving a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Interstate 75. Amrhein drove off the left side of the roadway into the median and struck a concrete bridge pillar.
Mr. Amrhein was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Mr. Amrhein was transported to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center by Rossford EMS where he was pronounced deceased.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Rossford Police Department and Rossford Fire and EMS, and VJ’s Towing.
