Peggy L. Brockschmidt, age 72, of Bowling Green, OH passed away at home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was born Peggy Schumacher on March 5, 1951, in Fremont, OH to Harm and Donna (Venzke) Schumacher. She would later become a member of the Eastwood High School Graduating Class of 1969. On November 22, 1969 she married Thomas L. Brockschmidt at Grace Lutheran Church in Luckey, OH. Peggy and Tom raised 3 children and have celebrated nearly 54 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a homemaker and taking care of family, Peggy worked outside the home in various retail jobs, most recently at Meijer’s Department Store, before she retired. She enjoyed all things Disney. Traveling with her husband Tom, especially her trips to Florida. Another favorite pass-time was shopping. Nevertheless, her favorite joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Tom, Peggy is survived by her children: Brad (Sara) Brockschmidt of Luckey, Brian (Amanda) Brockschmidt of Weston and Beth Brockschmidt – Burke of Bowling Green. Grandchildren: Brian II, Collin, Alexandra, Allyson (Aaron), Tommy, Keegan, Johnny, Liam and Landyn. Great-grandchildren: Emersyn, Bridger and sister, Suzanne Camp. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathy Schumacher.
Family and friends will be received from 9-11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street, Luckey, OH. Officiating will be, Pr. Leroy Sholey. Peggy will be laid to rest at a family committal service in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH on a later date.
