The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County will host AfterBurn 2024 on Friday, Oct. 4, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wood County Fairgrounds.
The free, family-friendly event will include a trunk or treat around the fairgrounds, and in the Junior Fair Building there will be kids’ activities, a chili cook-off, and food and T-shirts available for purchase. The event will conclude with a special recovery celebration from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
Vendors will be set up “trunk or treat” style on the fairgrounds for participants to visit and learn about resources that are available in Wood County. Stop by all the booths for a chance to win a free pumpkin.
The kids’ activities will include face painting, sensory bottle-making and more.
NAMI Wood County urges anyone who plans to attend and eat the meals to pre-register by Wednesday, Oct. 2. To register, visit the NAMI Wood County website.
