Alice F. Sears, age 80, of Pemberville and formerly of Woodville, OH, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, OH; her husband Eugene was near her side. She was born on December 12, 1935 in Canfield, OH to Paul Lewis and Kathryn (Mellinger) Frederick. Alice married Eugene H. Sears on December 29, 1957 in Canfield, OH. She was a music teacher for 27 years with Woodmore Schools before retiring. Alice was a long-time member of theWoodville United Methodist Church. Having a great love of photography she was also a member of the Topics Camera Club.
Alice is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years: Eugene H. Sears of Pemberville, OH, sons: Robert (Sheri) Sears of Poland, OH, William (Lori) Sears of Munster, IN, Brian (Paula) Sears of Neenah, WI, 6 grandchildren: Allison, Kathryn, Michael, Aaron, Nicole and Andrew, brother: Robert (Nancy) Frederick of Canfield, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Alice will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. Officiating will be Rev. Carol Williams-Young. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH.
