Another bicycle stolen – and another one left in its place

Another bicycle was reported stolen in Bowling Green – and another one was left in its place.

On Wednesday, a resident in the 1000 block of North Main Street reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen. The bicycle was a blue Mongoose BMX bike with silver pegs and a broken brake handle on the left side. The estimated value is $150.

In its place, a purple Roadmaster MT Sport SX bike was left in her yard. That bike was place in police property.

Earlier this week two residents on the East Side of Bowling Green reported bicycles stolen – and different bicycles left in their place.

On Sunday morning, Bowling Green Police Division responded to a call from a resident of Eighth Street that her son’s black BMX bike had been taken from the side of the apartment building.

The caller reportedly found a teal green Murray USA bike in the same spot where her son’s bike had been taken from.

On Monday afternoon, a resident of Fourth Street reported that his black and red men’s Mongoose bicycle had been stolen overnight. In its place was a women’s black Kent 18-speed bicycle.

Both of the bicycles left behind were placed in police property.
