BG Council changes meeting site with large crowd expected for reproductive rights issue

Packed Bowling Green City Council chambers in October

Due to the size of the crowd expected at the Bowling Green City Council meeting on Monday, the location of the meeting has been changed to Wood County Job and Family Services at 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green.

Prior to the council meeting, the Community Improvement Committee of Bowling Green City Council will meet at 6 p.m. This meeting will also be held in the multi-purpose room at the Job and Family Services building. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss grant funding criteria for American Rescue Plan Act funds for non-profit organizations.

The regular City Council meeting is then scheduled for 7 p.m. Based on the overflowing crowd at the last council meeting, when a reproductive rights amendment to the city’s anti-discrimination ordinance was on the agenda, it was decided to hold Monday’s meeting in a larger venue.

As a convenience to the public, this meeting will be live streamed over YouTube. The address for the YouTube channel is www.bgohio.org/meetings
