Alexis Klassen & Associates DDS will honor active duty and former military personnel on Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, for what the practice calls The 1% Salute.
The practice will give free care at their dental office at 1218 Ridgewood Drive, Bowling Green , to current and former service personnel. The 1% Salute is inspired by the statistic that 1 percent of our nation’s total population has served or is serving in a branch of the military.
Dr. Klassen and staff will be volunteering their time and dental services to around 20 Northwest Ohio servicemen and women. They will receive treatment ranging from cleanings to fillings and crowns.
The guests will also be receiving gift bags that include special cards from some of the students at St. Aloysius thanking them for their service.
Starting in November, we will also be sharing some of the guests’ military stories and photos via our various social media platforms.
Dr. Klassen, a Navy Commander, is currently in the US Navy Reserves where she has served for 12 years. Prior to the reserves, she served five years of active duty in the Navy.
