Dr. Alexis Klassen continued her offer of free dental service to members of the armed forces and veterans in honor of Veterans Day. Klassen, an officer in the Navy Reserve who served five years in active duty, started the One-Percent Salute before she came to Bowling Green in 2020. Alexis Klassen & Associates provided free treatment to 25 people on Veterans Day. Her practice partnered with a neighboring clinic, Premier Vision, who also offered the veterans who received dental care, a free eye exam and a free pair of glasses.
