BG driver reportedly hits gas rather than brakes, and ends up in apartment living room

A resident in the 800 block of Fifth Street in Bowling Green heard a loud crash on Sunday around 11:30 p.m., and walked into his living room to find a car halfway inside the room.

The man told police the car then backed out, and the driver walked into the living room and stood there until officers arrived.

The driver, Fredandy Anim, 29, of Bowling Green, told police he was attempting to hit the brakes but instead hit the accelerator, causing the vehicle to jolt forward into the apartment.

No one was injured. Anim was cited for failure to control the vehicle and for a temporary permit violation.
