BG man arrested for alleged aggravated burglary and domestic violence

Bowling Green Police responded to an apartment in the 700 block of North Enterprise street, Thursday around 11 p.m., after dispatch received a call for help, with sounds of a physical altercation in the background.

Police arrested Dillon Spencer, 21, of Bowling Green, for aggravated burglary and domestic violence, and took him to Wood County Jail.

Spencer went to the apartment reportedly to drop off mail that had arrived at his home for his ex-girlfriend. The woman answered the door, then reportedly closed and locked it when Spencer tried to push his way in. She then went outside the apartment door to talk with Spencer and retrieve her mail.

According to the police report, Spencer barged into the apartment, pushing the woman to the floor. Inside, Spencer reportedly found a man in the bathroom, and punched him in the head three times.

When told that police had been called, Spencer left the apartment.

The woman reportedly recorded the incident on her cellphone. The video showed her telling Spencer to leave approximately seven times. It then showed him pushing past her into the apartment. The cellphone ends up on the ground, so the video doesn’t show any more of the incident, but the audio recorded sounds of a scuffle and one person shouting at someone else to get off him.

Police pulled over Spencer as he was driving on North Enterprise Street near Pike Street.

When arrested by police, Spencer reportedly said he forced his way into the apartment and punched the other man there.
