A Bowling Green man was revived by Narcan from Bowling Green Fire Division Sunday around 11 p.m.

Bowling Green Police were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Parkview Drive, after a couple called to report that the man had gone into their shed when they wouldn’t allow him in their home. Police found the man who appeared to be under the influence of some drug.

Once in the ambulance, he appeared to lose consciousness. His eyes were open, but he was unresponsive. EMS administered Narcan to the man, and he quickly became responsive, according to the police report.

The man was reportedly uncooperative with staff at Wood County Hospital. Soon after he was helped into a police cruiser, to be taken to the Wood County Jail, he reportedly began thrashing in the back seat and hitting his head on the partition.

The cruiser stopped so officers could make sure the man wasn’t injured. Before the cruiser had left the hospital parking lot, the man reportedly began kicking the back door of the car to the point that it was flexing with the impacts.

An officer removed his firearm and other equipment from his belt, and rode with the man in the back seat of the cruiser to the jail to prevent him from kicking the doors or slamming his head into the partition. Throughout the ride, the man reportedly threatened to kill the officer and repeatedly tried to reach for items on the officer’s belt – that had all been removed.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct and being intoxicated to the point he could not care for himself, and lodged at the jail.
