BG woman arrested after allegedly interfering with efforts to help woman having seizure

Bowling Green Police arrested a 27-year old woman Sunday morning after she interfered with first responders trying to assist a woman having a seizure.

Police were called to a bar in the 100 block of East Wooster Street around 1:20 a.m., for a woman having a seizure or choking. Officers found the woman having a seizure in the restroom. They attempted to hold the woman’s head from hitting the bathroom stall in the cramped room.

A reportedly intoxicated Bowling Green woman was standing over the seizing woman and refused to leave the restroom. According to the police report, the woman did not know the woman and was not rendering aid.

After being ordered several times to leave the restroom, the intoxicated woman was picked up by an officer and carried outside. She reportedly said officers had injured her knee, so she was taken to Wood County Hospital. According to the police report, she refused to allow emergency department staff to treat her.

The woman was charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and misconduct at the scene of an emergency. She was taken to the Wood County Jail.
