Bowling Green Police responded to a business in the 1000 block of North Main Street, after a man reportedly broke into the business Thursday overnight.

Surveillance video from the business reportedly showed a male in a large white flowing coat unsuccessfully trying to get into the service door in the front of the automotive business around 3:18 a.m.

The video also reportedly showed the man trying the door handle of a vehicle in the lot, kicking in a different service door, then trying to break out the driver’s side window of a vehicle.

Officers went to the neighboring Circle K to view its video cameras. The same man was seen around 3 a.m. trying to use the ATM there. The video at Circle K reportedly showed a BG Police officer speaking to the man. The officer said he dealt with the man about an hour later in the 1000 block of North Grove Street for disorderly conduct. The man, Brian Cameron, 38, of Bowling Green, had been transported to his home in the 200 block of South Enterprise Street.

On Thursday, Cameron could not be found at his residence, so police issued a summons for criminal trespassing and criminal damaging, and filed it at Bowling Green Municipal Court to be issued as warrants.
