Bowling Green police and fire divisions respond to suspected overdose death

Bowling Green Police responded to a suspected overdose death in the 1000 block of North Main Street, Friday, July 28, at 12:47 a.m.

When police arrived CPR was in progress. An officer took over chest compressions, while another officer administered a dose of Naloxone. Officers took turns doing chest compressions, and a second then third dose of Naloxone was given, with no effect.

Bowling Green Fire Division arrived and took over lifesaving measures, to no avail. A detective was requested at the scene. The deceased, whose name was not released by BGPD, was transported to Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

The resident, who called police to the scene, said the victim would spend time in the shed on the property. Police reportedly found two syringes when they searched the shed.
