Bowling Green Police Division cited Christopher Duncan, 37, of Derby Avenue, for using unauthorized license plates, driving with a suspended license, and receiving stolen property.
Police reportedly observed Duncan driving a green Chevy Impala in the 1600 block of East Wooster Street, when a plate check showed a license plate registered to a silver Honda that expired in May, and was replaced by another license plate.
The plate had a March 2021 expiration sticker on it.
When police stopped Duncan, he reportedly only possessed a state identification card, and was under multiple suspensions, but had the title for the car signed to him in August. The title was seized as evidence since it was “suspiciously washed” on the buyer’s signature portion under Duncan’s name, the police report stated.
Police called the owner of the plates, who said the plates had been stolen off his vehicle. The registration sticker on the plate belongs to another person, who had reported it stolen in August.
