BG Police cite three men for fighting in two incidents

Bowling Green Police cited three men for fighting in the early hours of Saturday.

Around 2:50 a.m., police noticed a food truck employee yelling at a man in the 300 block of East Wooster Street. The food truck employee told police the male was starting fights in the parking lot with other customers.

Police stopped the man and asked for his ID. He reportedly handed over a Missouri driver’s license with the name Chase Mason and date of birth showing he was 22. However, dispatch ran the license and it was found to be bogus. Mason told police he was 19 and from Lima.

Two customers at the food truck told police that Mason repeatedly tried to fight with them. They stated they witnessed him tackle another male in the parking lot and that earlier in the night he was trying to start a fight with a female at Downtown Bar.

Mason was arrested for falsification, disorderly conduct/fighting, and underage under the influence. He was taken to Wood County jail.

Then around 3:15 a.m., an officer was on routine patrol near the city parking lot at North Church and West Court streets, when he saw two men fighting. When the officer turned on the cruiser’s overhead lights and air horn, the men stopped fighting and walked toward the patrol vehicle.

Cole Waitinas, 31, and Justin Madrigel, 27, both of Bowling Green, were cited for disorderly conduct/fighting.
