BG Police Division responds to fight at City Pool

Bowling Green Police Division was dispatched to City Pool on Friday around 8 p.m., for a fight.

Patrons at the pool reported that they observed multiple people looking through their belongings at the pool. The people going through the bags reportedly said they were looking for a phone that had fallen into the area. The incident involved people ranging from age 13 to 40.

The pool manager reported seeing one person throwing a chair at someone.

According to varied reports given to police, some people involved were upset at being accused of stealing. Another person told police the people going through the bags threatened those who owned the bags, and said they would get other people to come beat them up.

One woman said she was punched in the face by another woman when she confronted them about going through their bags. She told police that she was holding her baby at the time, and she did have red marks consistent with being struck. Others at the scene told police that the woman holding the child had struck another woman.
