BG Police investigate assault that allegedly began over karaoke performance at bar

Bowling Green Police responded to a fight that reportedly started over karaoke Thursday (1/11) around midnight at a bar in the 100 block of East Wooster Street.

When police arrived, the woman who reportedly began the fight had already been kicked out by staff.

A bartender told police that a group of women were sitting near the karaoke stage, when they were approached by another woman who accused one member of the group of making fun of the karaoke singer.

The alleged victim said she tried to back away from the woman who reportedly instigated the assault. The victim said the woman punched her in the face and pulled her hair. She reportedly had a bump on her head and some scratch marks.

Police are investigating the incident.
