A Bowling Green police officer was flagged down by a man Friday, around 9 p.m., to report that a woman had hit him with a small metal baseball bat.
The man, who lives in the 300 block of Campbell Hill Road, had walked to the 300 block of East Clough Street while trying to get help. He said his cell phone had been broken by the same woman. He gave police the woman’s first name, but said he did not know her last name.
Bowling Green Fire Division transported the man to Wood County Hospital. Police are investigating the assault.
