BG police respond to report of naked man sleeping behind store

Bowling Green Police responded to a report of a naked man sleeping behind the old Hobby Lobby store, at 1080 S. Main St., Tuesday at 2:05 p.m.

Police found Randy Lee Williams, 64, of Harrison Township, Michigan, sleeping in a corner next to a generator. When the officer approached Williams he had pants and socks on.

Williams reportedly told police he was sleeping and trying to get some sun. He told police he was traveling on foot from Canada to Florida, and had stopped in Bowling Green to get some rest.

Police told Williams about the complaint of him sleeping naked behind the store, and he stated that he would gather up his belongings and continue traveling south.

Williams was given a warning for criminal trespassing, and was advised that he would be arrested if he returned.
