The City of Bowling Green cordially invites interested residents to sign up and participate in the 2018 Citizens Academy. The academy is scheduled to meet eight times on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from Aug. 14 until Nov. 27. Each session will take place at a different city facility from 6:30-8 p.m.
The academy is organized to give residents a “behind the scenes” look into city operations. Various facility tours such as the Water Treatment Plant and Police and Fire Stations will be provided as well as meeting city staff and elected officials. Each session will focus on a different aspect of city operations – including organizational structure, safety, utilities, public works, sustainability, and much more.
The class is set at 25, so those interested are encouraged to sign up. Visit the Citizens Academy page on the city’s homepage – www.bgohio.org. Residents may also call the Mayor/Municipal Administrator’s Office for more information at 419-354-6204.
