BG students celebrate notable ‘Twosday’ on 2/22/22

Students in Emily Bechstein's fifth grade class join in the "Cupid Shuffle" dance.

Crim Elementary students celebrated 2/22/2022 on “Twosday” with lessons focusing on the notable number of the day. Some teachers and students dressed as twins and wore tutus. At 2:22 p.m., all the classrooms got on Google Meet and performed the Cupid Shuffle dance together – with many of the movements in twos.

Students in Emily Bechstein’s fifth grade class got 22 marshmallows, 22 toothpicks and 22 spaghetti noodles. They had to make a tower as close to 22 centimeters as possible.

Principal Zeb Kellough, who dressed as a twin with first grade teacher Michael Ryder, said the teachers wanted to build a fun day of learning around the unique date of 2/22/2022.

Some teachers and students wore tutus or dressed up as twins to celebrate the day.
