BGSU dean of Arts & Sciences moved to provost office as assistant

Bowling Green State University has announced that effective Sept. 15, Dr. Raymond Craig, who has been the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, will become special assistant to the provost for the LEAP Quality Initiative. Dr. Dale Klopfer, associate dean, will assume the role of interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Craig has been dean since June, 2014. He came to BGSU from Kent State where he served as as assistant dean to the College of Arts and Sciences.

Klopfer has been a member of the BGSU faculty since 1986, advancing to his current position as associate professor before serving as chair of the Department of Psychology for nine years and then becoming an associate dean in 2010.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest of the six colleges on the Bowling Green campus.

The LEAP program is described in the announcement of the change as being “critical to redefining student success as outlined in the Focus on the Future strategic plan.”
