Black Swamp Players casting musical ‘It Shoulda Been You’

The Black Swamp Players are casting the musical “It Shoulda Been You.”

Auditions will be held  Monday, Feb. 28 from -9:30 p.m and Tuesday, March 1 from 6-9 p.m. 

The show will  April 29, April 30, and May 1 and May 6, 7 and 8. 

The 13 roles include six women (aged 20 through late 60s) and seven men (aged 20 through late 60s).  Auditions will take place at 115 E. Oak St., Bowling Green.

Those auditioning should prepare up to two minutes of a Broadway-style song that best showcases range.  An accompanist will be provided.  Men may be asked to do some choreography so they should dress accordingly. 

“It Shoulda Been You,” with music by Barbara Anselmi and book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove, made its Broadway debut in 2015.

Print out and complete the audition form and bring to auditions. Be sure to sign up for an audition time slot. Those auditioning are asked to wear a mask to auditions regardless of vaccination status.  They will be allowed to take mask off during your singing portion of the audition.
