Bobcat baseball wins, with shutout pitched by Deiter

Cam Deiter shut down St. Francis de Sales, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Bowling Green Varsity Bobcat Baseball team to a 10-0 victory on Saturday.

In the first inning, Bowling Green got their offense started. Ryan Jackson doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Bobcats notched five runs in the second inning. Deiter, Brock Hastings, Jackson, Nate Kress, and Braden Loomis all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

A single by Jagielski in the fifth inning was a positive for St. Francis de Sales.

Deiter got the win for the Bowling Green Varsity Bobcats. Deiter allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out three.

Dudley took the loss for St. Francis de Sales. The pitcher allowed nine hits and ten runs over three innings, striking out one.

The Bobcats saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Hastings and Jackson each managed multiple hits for Bowling Green Varsity Bobcats. Hastings went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Bowling Green Varsity Bobcats in hits.

Jagielski led St. Francis de Sales with one hit in one at bats.
