Bronx, the mastiff mix, waiting at county dog shelter for new home

Bronx, the 2-year-old mastiff mix who came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray, is looking for a new home. He is 70 pounds, neutered, and microchipped.

“He is a complete lovebug and hasn’t met a stranger yet,” Wood County Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “He has done great with the other dogs at the shelter, and walks well on a leash.”

The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
