Bruce Meyer

Bruce Meyer, Bowling Green State University’s associate vice president for capital planning and campus operations, will retire at the end of the year in 2020.

Sherideen S. Stoll, the university’s vice president for finance and administration, announced the retirement this morning (Sept. 25, 2019).

“In all his roles at BGSU and as a member of the Executive Team tasked with implementing the Campus Master Plan, Bruce has helped us move forward as we continually reshape and improve our campuses as places conducive to living and learning, while maintaining the highest standards of care and efficiency,” Stoll wrote.

Meyer was hired by BGSU as assistant vice president for campus operations in 2010. He stepped up to his current position in November 2017 to serve as interim  following the death of Steve Krakoff. The appointment was made permanent the following July.

The university plans a national search to fill the vacancy.

Stoll wrote that Meyer has indicated he is flexible about when he retires, which will allow some overlap with his replacement.
