A Bowling Green Police officer was on patrol downtown Sunday around 2:20 a.m., when he heard yelling coming from the sidewalk in front of bars in the 100 block of North Main Street. The officer spotted three men reportedly beating up a man.

A witness reportedly videotaped the attack on his phone, showing the three men punching the victim, who was cornered against a door and using his hands to protect his head from strikes. The men reportedly continued beating the victim until someone yelled that a police officer was approaching.

The victim complained of pain on the left side of his head, which appeared to be red and swollen.

The police arrested Jonathan Lambrite, 21, Upper Sandusky; Jaidyn Thiel, 21, Upper Sandusky; and Carter Burdue, 21, Napoleon, for assault and took them to Wood County Jail.
