Cindy Kerekes, 60, passed away on January 4, 2024 at her residence after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Cindy was born on May 12, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio to Judy Genson and she survives. Cindy married William, “Bill”, Kerekes and they shared 21 years together before her passing.
Cindy will be remembered for her many passions, including camping, traveling, and doing anything outdoors. She was proud of her accomplishment of owning and operating her own bar, the Wicked Dew Saloon, on Central Avenue. Above all else, she will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and grand-children. She was a passionate and devoted family matriarch who will be deeply missed by those that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Cindy is survived by her daughters, Mandy (David) Hicks and Rachael (Jacob) Ruelas; sons, Douglas (Melony) Nelson and Bill Kerekes; siblings Cheryl, Tina, and David; and her grandchildren: Alex, Betty, Miles and Violet.
Services will be private for the family.
