Bowling Green Police arrested a Columbus man for two counts of assault, obstructing official business and failure to yield right of way by a pedestrian on Monday (April 10) around 11 p.m.
Police were called to a bar in the 100 block of East Wooster Street when a patron, Patrick Callahan, 37, refused to leave the bar after being asked several times, and reportedly punched and kicked two people at the bar.
Police were looking for Callahan along East Wooster Street, when an officer observed an eastbound vehicle swerve into the westbound lane to avoid a pedestrian who had stumbled off the sidewalk into the roadway. The pedestrian was Callahan, who reportedly resisted arrest when officers tried to handcuff him.
It was reported to police that Callahan had been kicked out of another downtown bar earlier in the evening. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
