Community bands ring up receipts to benefit BG Community Foundation

Dressed in her hippie chick finest, Prudy Brott, owner of Sunset Bistro, was the top money raiser in the More Cowbell! Fundraiser at Sunday’s Bowling Green Community Bands’ spring concert.

Brott was vying to bring in the most donations for the Bowling Green Community Foundation with Clint Corpe, host of “The Morning Show” on WBGU-FM, BGSU Athletic Director Derek Van Der Merwe and Frieda Falcon.

Each had a chance to show off their cowbell abilities and strut in comedic fashion in a celebration of the classic “Saturday Night Live” skit.

As listeners exited the PAC auditorium, they voted with their wallets.  Brott brought in the most contributions, Corpe announced on “The Morning Show” today.

The event raised $900.

The rest of the concert was devoted to a celebration of dance, music from the movie “The Greatest Showman,” concluding with patriotic selections in honor of Memorial Day.
