From BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY
This Saturday, Feb. 21, from 2 – 3 p.m., storytellers from the Wyandotte will share stories inspired by the local environment.
Bowling Green State University, in partnership with Bowling Green Parks & Recreation, is honored to host Chris Houk and Ciara Cotter as they travel from the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma to share their stories.
Amílcar Challú, chair and professor, Department of History, and Madi Smith, coordinator of external engagement, Honors College, will welcome and introduce the special guests. This region is the homeland to the Wyandot people. As these stories are shared only during the winter, BGSU hopes everyone will join for these timely and special regional stories.
The event will take place at the Rotary Nature Center at Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve, Bowling Green. This event is free and open to the public.
