Correna June (Cary) Schivelbein, 85, of Findlay, Ohio and formerly of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Saturday March 10, 2018. She was born September 15, 1932 in Bowling Green to the late Myron and Merritt (Summers) Johnson. She married Richard Cary July 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death June 3, 1984. She later married Leo Schivelbein and he survives in Findlay, Ohio.
June was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Findlay and was a former member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. June loved traveling and being outside in nature. She was genuine and caring and always there for those in need. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family.
Along with her husband Leo, She is survived by her children Michael Cary of Tennesse, Steven Cary of Findlay, Robert (Abigail) Cary of Bowling Green and Tracy Tajblik (Mike Falls) of Portage, Ohio, step-children Stephen Schivelbein of Toledo, Ohio, David (Julie) Shivelbein of Dayton, Ohio, Lenny (Sue) Shivelbein of North Carolina and Patti Shivelbein of Toledo, Ohio, sister Shirley Davison and grandchildren Joe, Cole, Shayne, Dustyn, Cary, Kristy and Morgan, step-grandchildren Nathan, Taylor, Tommy, Tisha, Tabitha, Abigail, Melanie and Matthew and 7 great-grandchildren.
Along with her first husband Richard, June was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Johnson and sisters Bonnie Meyers and Mary Helberg.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Father Michael Zacharias will officiate. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
