County has ‘slight risk’ of severe storms today

The Wood County Emergency Management Agency  has issued the following advisory:

Wood County is under the “Slight Risk” of severe weather this afternoon from 2pm to 10pm.  This area will include all of northern Ohio (north of US 30).  Current models have rain beginning around 2pm with the highest risk for severe weather near 8pm.  

The greatest threat will be damaging wind and large hail.  There is a marginal risk for excessive rainfall that could lead to isolated flooding especially in flood prone areas.

The EMA will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as appropriate.
