Bowling Green lifelong resident, Danny L. Malone, 71, died January 5,2017 at Heritage Nursing home, Waterville.
Danny was born April 24, 1945 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Ray and Alice Malone. He married Nancy Pultz on May 18, 1968, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Kellie Malone and Tracy Kurkoski (Todd), 3 grandchildren, Patrick (Courtney) Kurkoski, Lauren Kurkoski, and Taylor Kurkoski, two brothers, Tom Malone, and Mike (Jane) Malone, and sister Kaye Malone.
Danny proudly served in the US Army and courageously fought in Vietnam. He retired from BGSU in 1998. He was a proud member of the AMVETS, American Legion, and VFW.
Danny will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
The funeral service for Danny will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Wood County Honor Detail. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. A bereavement luncheon will be held at the Bowling Green Eagles Lodge following the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danny’s name to AMVETS Post 711 or to the family for funeral expenses.
