Darlene A. Bair, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at Wood County Hospital. Darlene was born to Ferdinand and Elsie (Morris) Schauer in Lincoln Park MI. She married John Bair in 1954, they raised 2 children and celebrated 47 years of marriage together before John’s death in 2001.
In addition to being a homemaker and taking care of a family, Darlene worked off and on for Autolight in Fostoria for 25 plus years before she retired. She was a woman of faith that enjoyed spending time with her family.
Darlene is survived by her children: John (Tonia) Bair of Bowling Green and Joan (Jeff) Barry of North Baltimore. Grandchildren: Jodi (Mike) Estes, Jaclyn (Tom) Marks and Alexis (Robert) Jackson. Great grandchildren: Hudson, Fisher, McCoy, Conner, Madison, Colton and brother, Calvin Schauer of Bowling Green. In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Frederick “Sonny” Schauer, Donald Schauer and sister, Kathleen Schauer.
Darlene will be laid to rest next to John at a graveside service, (per her wishes) 11 a.m., on Thursday, October 6, 2022 in Portage Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Those wishing to express their condolences to the family, may do so at www.marshfuneralhomes.com.
