Dean Richard Clarke was born on a sunny day in July 1961. Being born under the sign of Leo, he wasted no time in making a public debut. His parents, Richard, and Mary Clarke were about to open a new restaurant on Main Street in Bowling Green, Ohio, and since it had an Italian theme, they named the venture after their son’s nickname, Dino.
Dean graduated from BGSU, and grew to become an artist, prolific author, and also ran for state representative in the 2000 election.
Dean is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Clarke, two brothers Devon Clarke (Tiffanie) and Darin Clarke (Connie). His father had predeceased him in 2008. In addition, Dean is survived by his nephew Jazz Clarke and three nieces Ciara, Celine, and Avery Clarke.
Dean had a witty sense of humor and an open and friendly nature which endeared him to many. Dean’s digital art has been seen on The History Channel, The Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel. All featuring Atlantis as a subject which he had studied for years. He was very interested and had a deep knowledge of ancient history in general, and Egypt in particular.
A member of Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virgina Beach, Virginia, Dean studied their library’s Egerton Syke’s collection.
He was also a member of The Oddfellows in Perrysburg, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at The First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green, Ohio at a later date.
Dean wished for any contributions to be made to the Library Fund at The Association for research and Enlightenment in his name.
