Dennis Graf, 69, of Tontogany, Ohio passed away on July 11, 2023. He was born December 5, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Mariann “Boots” Graf. He married Karen Current on May 23, 1981, and she survives in Tontogany, Ohio.
Dennis spent his entire career employed by American-Lincoln and its successors, working his way up from a machinist to an engineer. When he wasn’t working, he could be found at Doc’s with his buddies, at the shop working on his Camaro, or clinging to the fence at one of his daughters’ softball games. Dennis was an avid Tigers baseball fan and Green Bay Packers football fan. Dennis also had a passion for music. He played the guitar in a band called L.E.G.G., where their records sold all across Europe, and he got to play with them at Howard’s. After his accident, he enjoyed reading, discussing World War II and spending time with his grandkids.
Along with his wife Karen, Dennis is survived by his 3 daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy) Sheeks of Tontogany, Ohio, Nicole (Jeff DeHoff) Graf of Luckey, Ohio and Tracy (Tony) Graf-Gilbert of Bowling Green, Ohio; 4 siblings, Steven (Karen) Graf of Defiance, Ohio, Rodney (Julie) Graf of Maumee, Ohio, Amy Ward of Colorado and William Graf of Wayne, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews and 6 grandchildren; Makenna, Madelyn, Gabriel, Mason, Lucy and Cameron.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mariann (Weaver) Graf.
The family wishes to extend thanks to those few friends and family members who continued to visit Dennis after his accident, especially Larry Batoki, the countless medical personnel who helped with his care over the last 13 years, and his “angel” Latoya Kirkwood.
Memorial contributions may be given to The University of Michigan Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Fund.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio 43565. A graveside service will follow at Tontogany Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bauerle will officiate.
