From VISIT BG OHIO

Visit BG Ohio has awarded a grant to GAS Disc Golf Foundation to help fund improvements to the Disc Golf course at Carter Park in Bowling Green. This grant, along with one from American Rescue Plan Act, will transform the Carter Park Disc Golf Course.

The redesign focuses on enhancing the overall disc golfing experience with a thoughtful layout accommodating diverse skill levels. The addition of alternate tee pads ensures inclusivity for both beginners and seasoned players.

The course provides a variety of playing options, including a challenging course and a beginner-friendly route. Upgraded signage facilitates easy navigation, providing clear directions and safety guidelines. Improved baskets elevate the overall quality of play, aligning Carter Park with top disc golf standards.

Carter Park has evolved into a premier destination for disc golf enthusiasts, reflecting the city’s commitment to community well-being. The course invites the community to experience the renewed space, fostering inclusivity and quality recreation.

The grant is designed to make Carter Park Disc Golf Course more receptive to tournament and league play, hopefully drawing in visitors across Ohio and Michigan. The location of Carter Park’s course near BGSU and I-75, GAS Disc Golf Foundation believes that the course could become a destination for disc golfers in the region.
