Dolores E. (Ballard) Ford, age 86, passed away June 26, 2018 at Otterbein Portage Valley, Pemberville. Dolores was born on March 30, 1932 to the late John and Edith Ballard. She married Clarence E. Ford on June 23, 1953 and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2011.
She was a long-time member of Sugar Ridge Church, worked at Day Brook in the early years, and volunteered for numerous events at Crim elementary school while raising her children. She enjoyed being a home maker and taking care of all of her grandchildren while her children worked. Dolores loved her grandchildren with all of her heart and was later blessed with two great – grandchildren. Dolores was most famous for her brownies.
Dolores is survived by her children: Michael (Barbara) Ford, of Bowling Green; Patricia (Samuel) Sarver, of Pemberville; grandchildren: Zachary (Tara) Sarver, Russel (Kylee) Sarver, all of Pemberville; Andrea Ford, Ashley Ford, both of Bowling Green; great grandchildren: Bowen Tyler Sarver, and Lillian Luella Sarver of Pemberville; sister: June Gill, of Swanton, Ohio; sister-in-law: Leotta Ballard; brother-in-law: Lester (Judy Jennings) Ford; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Albert, Jack, and Bill Ballard; sisters Dorothy Place, Faith Bemis, Agnes Schaller, and Ruth Ballard.
Visitation for Dolores will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 West Wooster St./P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Interment will immediately follow in Union Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Dolores’ honor may be gifted to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
