Donald R. Majewski, 73, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Monday September 18, 2017. He was born July 28, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Martha (Kania) Majewski. He married Barbara Lykowski on April 16, 1966 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Donald was a 1962 graduate of Woodward High School. He worked for the Ohio EPA for 33 years and worked the past 11 years as the greeter at Meijer in Rossford. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Rapids where he participated in CRHP. Donald was a former member of St. Adalbert in Toledo where he coached numerous sports. He enjoyed cooking, grilling, camping and gardening. His greatest joy in life was his family. Affectionately referred to by his grandchildren and great- grandchildren as the best DziaDzia ever, he loved spending time with them and enjoyed attending all of their activities and sporting events.
Along with his wife of 51 years, Barbara, Donald is survived by his daughters Christina “Tina” (Brian) Barber of Toledo, Ohio and Lori (Jon) Plasencio of Toledo, Ohio, brother Richard (Teresa) Majewski of Toledo, Ohio, sister-in-law Elaine Majewski of Toledo, Ohio, grandchildren Alex (Amanda), Samantha (Corey), Brittany (Dylan), Nichole (Zack), Katie (Patrick), Jonny and Allison and great-grandchildren Aidan, Jenna, Hailey, Jordyn, and Jaxon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother James Majewski.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Road Waterville, Ohio 43566. A Rosary service will begin Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 14010 Old US24 Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Grand Rapids where Military honors will be rendered by the Wood County Honor Detail.
Memorial contributions may be given in Donald’s memory to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Rectory.
